In Arunachal Pradesh Assembly, the BJP gained 46 out of 60 seats within the nation assembly. In Sikkim, the Sikkim Krantikari Morcha lost only one seat in the 32-member assembly.
Arunachal Pradesh and Sikkim, together with Andhra Pradesh and Odisha, held nation assembly and Lok Sabha elections at the same time. These states re-elected their current governments. The vote counting was done on Sunday, 2 days earlier than the nationwide counting for the Lok Sabha elections.
Arunachal Pradesh
In Arunachal Pradesh, which voted on April 19 for both assembly and Lok Sabha elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) received 46 seats within the 60-member Arunachal Pradesh Assembly, gaining 5extra seats than in 2019. The Election Commission’s internet site confirmed that 10 BJP candidates, together with Chief Minister Pema Khandu and Deputy CM Chowna Mein, had already won unopposed in March.

The Sikkim Krantikari Morcha (SKM), which narrowly received 17 seats in the 32-member assembly in 2019, had a massive win this time, with 31 of its candidates triumphing. The oppostion Sikkim Democratic Front (SDF) handiest gained one seat, dropping 14 seats from last time.
PM Modi thanked the citizens of Sikkim and appreciated the efforts of the BJP employees. He promised that the party would constantly work towards Sikkimâs improvement and fulfil the people’s aspirations.
