Josh Allen and Tua Tagovailoa Face Off in AFC East Showdown
Bills vs. Dolphins : The Buffalo Bills have won 11 of their last 12 games against the Miami Dolphins. It seems like this week’s Thursday Night Football opener might follow the same pattern.
In the first half, Bills running back James Cook scored three touchdowns, helping Buffalo take a 24-10 lead at halftime in this crucial early-season matchup. Both teams made the playoffs last season but were eliminated by the reigning Super Bowl champions, the Kansas City Chiefs. Miami lost in one of the coldest games in NFL history during the wild-card round in Kansas City, while Buffalo was defeated at home the following week.
The Dolphins are missing running back Raheem Mostert due to a chest injury, and while Devonae Achane has been sidelined with an ankle injury for several days, he is still active. Achane scored Miami’s first touchdown with a five-yard catch from Tua Tagovailoa.
For the Bills, cornerback Tre’Davious White (forearm) and defensive end Da’Ron Payne (toe) will not play.
