Indian Air Force Fighter Jet Crashes during Training in Barmer, Rajasthan

News. A Major Accident Has Occurred at Barmer

Late Monday evening in Barmer, Rajasthan was host to an extraordinary incident: according to reports, a MiG fighter jet crash-landed near Uttarlai Airbase near Bandra area near Barmer. Luckily for everyone involved in the accident, its pilot managed to safely eject before its crash; no injuries or casualties have been reported from this accident and local police immediately arrived on scene; Indian Air Force (IAF) have also ordered an investigation of this accident.

Indian Air Force Details Crash during Night Training

According to official statements released by the Indian Air Force, details regarding this night training crash took place during an official night training mission in Barmer sector of Rajasthan. A MiG-29 fighter jet experienced technical malfunction, prompting its pilot to eject for safety; no reported deaths or property damages occurred as result of this crash; all officials on-site are currently monitoring this incident closely and all is under control at present.

Rajasthan Has Seen an IAF Reconnaissance Aircraft Crash

Unfortunately, Rajasthan is no stranger to similar incidents involving IAF reconnaissance aircrafts. Back in April, an IAF reconnaissance plane operating remotely and without an onboard pilot crashed in Pithla village with a loud explosion near Pithla village near Jaisalmer district; no casualties resulted. Following this event, the IAF ordered a Court of Inquiry into what caused its crash.
